AsimCDFS 2.0 -- December 2nd, 1993 release
***********************************************************************
asimcdfs.device 1.4 -- December 2nd, 1993
- added multisession support for the Texel/Plextor x028 CD-Rom drives.
asimcdfs.device 1.3 -- November 7th, 1993
- added support for the Pinnacle RCD-200 CD-Writer
- added support for the Texel/Plextor 5028 & 3028 CD-Rom drive.
asimcdfs.device 1.2 -- October 21st, 1993
- added Hitach 3750 compatibility
- fixed problem with Sony 561/Apple 300 drives not properly recognizing
audio discs with more than 15 tracks.
asimcdfs.device 1.1 -- September 17th, 1993
- add PhotoCD/XA checking for Toshiba 3x01 drives, rather than just
the Toshiba 3401 drive.
- after each disc change, asimcdfs.device will now reset the block size
to 2048 bytes. This is done to ensure compatibility with drives that
default to block sizes other than the normal 2048 bytes.

AsimCDFS 2.3 -- November 7th, 1993
· improved PhotoCD handling. Specifically, AsimCDFS had problems reading
the pictoral directory off of particular PhotoCDs. This has been
corrected.
· added support for the Pinnacle RCD-200 CD-Writer
· added support for the Texel/Plextor 5028 & 3028 CD-Rom drive.
AsimCDFS 2.2 -- October 31st, 1993
· added ability to pass the file version on to the user instead of
truncating the filename. A file version is an extension on the filename
that consists of a semi-colon with a number following. Ie:
our_filename;23 <-- option turned on may produce this
our_filename <-- option turned off produces this
The option can be toggled via the Semi-Colons option in the
AsimCDFS_Preferences program: 'Truncate 1st' will eliminate the version
numbers, while 'Pass Through' will show the version numbers.
Of course, if this option is on, Workbench will be unable to load any
icons from an Amiga-specific CD-Rom disc (such as FishMarket). This is
due to the fact that the icon files will no longer end in a .info,
but will end in numerical value:
Disk.info;1 instead of Disk.info
The second variation on this option is the case where an Amiga-specific
CD-Rom disc contains a file with a semi-colon in it, such as
Flash;Basic
If the Semi-Colons option is set to "Truncate 1st", then this filename
will be wrongly truncated to:
Flash
This file can be properly displayed by setting this option to 'Pass Through'.
However, if a filename, such as the above 'Flash;Basic' exists with
a file version extension, another problem arises:
Just 'Pass Through' will yield: Flash;Basic;1
while 'Truncate 1st' will yield: Flash
The most desired output would be: Flash;Basic
which is obtainable by setting this option to 'Truncate Last'
As a side note, the presence of semi-colons is not permitted in the
ISO-9660 standard - hence the above confusion is necessary.
· made international character handling (à, ç, ñ, etc...) more robust.
· Hitachi 3750 support added.
· fixed problem with Sony 561, 541 and Apple 300 drives improperly
ejecting the disc caddy.
AsimCDFS 2.1 -- October 17th, 1993
· Compensated for NEC drive reporting that an audio pause operation
prematurally terminated.
***********************************************************************
AsimCDFS_Prefs 1.1 -- October 23rd, 1993
· will now interactively change prefs. This means that you no longer have
to reboot the machine for a preferences change to be noticed.
· added the ability to view the file versions. This has the side effect
of allowing the use of semi-colons in Amiga-specific CD-Rom discs.
The new option is accessed via the 'Semi Colons' gadget.
***********************************************************************
AsimTunes 2.1 - November 21st, 1993
· a 'Palette Pens' function has been added that allows the user to choose
which pens from the current screen palette the track numbers will be
printed with. This function works only when AsimTunes is opened up on
a public or workbench screen.
· will now properly use the CX_POPKEY argument to specify an alternate
hotkey/popkey to activate the program.
· added the ability to open AsimTunes up on either a Workbench or
named Public screen.
· added 'Save Settings' option, which will save a default settings file.
These settings will be adopted upon startup of AsimTunes, and include
the position of windows, screen mode, and menu flags.
· fixed 'Track Ordering' selection gadget to default to the topaz 8 font.
· when activated with the hotkey, AsimTunes will attempt to open up
all previously opened windows.
· when renaming track titles, pressing the tab key will cycle to the next
track.
· clicking on the 'Stop' gadget when no play operation is in progress
will reset the track pointer to the first track on the disc (usually
track #1).
· added an 'Alarm' feature. This allows the user to set a time at
which a play operation will automatically begin - analagous to having
an alarm clock wake you up at a certain time.
The time at which the alarm will be activated (+/- 20 seconds) can be
set by the 'Set Alarm' function in the Settings menu.
The alarm is activated by selecting the 'Alarm?' flag in the settings
menu.
When the alarm engages, it will begin playing the current CD according
to the parameters set in the CD's autostart field.
***********************************************************************
DiscChanger 1.1 -- November 25th, 1993
· will now properly use the CX_POPKEY argument to specify an alternate
hotkey/popkey to activate the program.
· added a 'Save Settings' function that will save various settings such
as CD_Rom, public screen name, hot key combination and window position
to a file. These settings are adopted upon startup of the program.
· added a 'Public Screen' function that will allow DiscChanger to be
opened up on either the Workbench screen or a named Public Screen
· added a 'View Volume Info?' option that will display additional
information about the volume. In the case of an ISO disc, this will
include the publisher, publishing program, and other fields that may
be of interest to you.
***********************************************************************
AsimPhoto 1.2 -- December 2nd, 1993
· quickly corrected bug introduced by previous version -- the
'Screen Mode' function would no longer allow the selection of
all the listed screen modes.
AsimPhoto 1.1 -- November 26th, 1993
· clarifed operation of gadgets in 'Screen Mode' function.
***********************************************************************
asimphoto.library 1.1 - November 26th, 1993
· small speed improvement; a 768x512 sized image will now convert
to IFF in 26 seconds compared to the previous time of 37 seconds on
an Amiga 4000/040.
***********************************************************************
FishMarket v2.1
· The FishMarket disc has been expanded and now contains Fred Fish
disks #186 upto 930.
· The ISO 9660 structure of FishMarket has been improved and is now
usable standalone on other systems, such as the CDTV/A570.
· Fisk Disk #919 contains a virus in the file:
:Fishies/901-925/BBBF/FileVirLib/VirusToTest/Saddam_Hussein_Virus
This virus is only dangerous if you are running kickstart 1.2 or 1.3
and if you attempt to execute this particular file. Obviously,
do not attempt to run this file.
A future version of FishMarket will have this disk removed.
